THE BLUE BOX
In the BLUE BOX you should place the following CONTAINERS:
Please Remove all food and grease, caps and rinse!
. Steel (tin) food cans
. Aluminum food and beverage cans
. Glass bottles and jars (Both clear and coloured)
. No. 1 plastic containers
Look for this symbol on the bottom of your containers.
Examples: 2litre pop bottles, water bottles, etc...
. No. 2 plastic
Look for this symbol on the bottom of your containers.
Example: Detergent bottles, shampoo bottles, etc.
. Other aluminum food containers, frozen food trays, roasting pans, baking pans, clean aluminum foil)
PLEASE REMEMBER:
Remove caps, remove food and rinse, DO NOT place an materials in plastic bags
Place boxes in area where snow removal crews (road and sidewalk) will not damage boxes.

THE NEW YELLOW BOX
In the New Yellow Box you should place paper (fibre) products such as:
. Newspapers and flyers
. Magazines
. Catalogues
. Boxboard. Small Boxes (ie. cereal boxes, detergent boxes, tissue boxes, frozen food boxes, etc.)
Remove plastic and wax liners, food residue and please break down boxes.
. Cardboard boxes
Remove plastic, packaging materials and wax liners, break down and tie in bundles (2ft x 2ft x 1ft). Place inside Yellow Box. Larger boxes may be taken to Recycling Depot at 920 McNabb Street.
. Paper Egg Cartons
. Toilet Paper/ Paper Towel Rolls
. Milk Cartons
. Paper Ice Cream Cartons (please rinse any residue)
. Paper, including writing paper, computer paper, paper pads, notebooks and mail (including all envelopes)
. Phone Books
. Other paper products including greeting cards, gift wrap, paper ups, brown paper bags
. hard and soft cover books
NOTE: You no longer need to place any of the above in plastic bags.
